Member reports
Members can tell you when an article, video, term or announcement is out of date, wrong or broken. This guide shows you how those flags reach you, and how to make sure you see every one.
When a member flags something
A member presses and holds an item, chooses Report or block, then Something's wrong. They can add a note about what needs fixing. Every school leader and admin then hears about it:
- A notification titled “Something's wrong in” and the item's name, with the member's note. It arrives if your notifications are on, outside your quiet hours.
- An email with the same note, if you've linked an email address to your account.
Open the item in the app to take a look and edit it. Members who can edit content fix things themselves, so they don't see this option.
A list of everything members have flagged, with an unread count in your menu, is coming in the next version of the app.
Link an email so you don't miss one
A notification is easy to miss, and it won't arrive if notifications are off. An email gives you a copy you can come back to.
Open the user menu. Tap your avatar on Home, or swipe in from the right edge of any tab.
Tap Link email for web portal and enter your email address. You only see this row until an email is linked.
You can also link an email from Edit Profile. See Your profile. The same email lets you sign in to the web portal.
If no leader can be reached
If nobody at your school can be reached by notification or email, the report comes to the C3NTR team instead. We follow it up with your school, so nothing a member flags gets lost.
Reports that come to us
Members can also choose Report to C3NTR for something that shouldn't be in the app at all, such as content that is offensive, unsafe or someone else's work. Those reports come to the C3NTR team, not to you. We look at each one within 24 hours, and we tell you if we need to remove or restrict anything in your school.
Members can also hide an item or block someone for themselves. That only changes what they see, and nobody is told. See Report or block for the member's side.
